The N. Manoukian Circle 8 Unit D well in the Texas Panhandle in Hartley, County was spudded in on August 28th 2019. DDD Exploration Inc. out of Amarillo is the prospect generator/operator of the project. VOP has a non-operated working interest in the field, that if this well is successful, should offer another 6-8 development drilling locations, right there in the Texas Panhandle. The project is based on a 2014 3D Seismic shoot of the famous Rehm Missourian Granite Wash field originally discovered by Standard Oil in 1954. The field is a structurally dependent play that had produced more than 1,000,000 barrels of oil since discovery, but 3D Seismic data confirmed the size of the structure was significantly larger than previously thought, and is more similar in size to the 7,000,000 bbl Exxon Lathem Field 12 miles to the northeast. The N. Manoukian Circle 8 Unit D well is being drilled on the back of the successful J. Thompson USMC (Unit B well) and the L. Thompson USMC (Unit C well), wells that have flat lined at approximately 40 bbls of oil per day. The N. Manoukian Circle 8 Unit D well reached total depth of 6,200 ft on 9-11-2019. Mud logs noted excellent shows through 2 separate Granite Wash zones, and E-Logs confirmed over 50 ft of total possible pay from an upper Granite Wash and a Lower Granite wash. The well is currently being rigged up for production phase after perforating and swabbing the lower granite wash & recording 50%+ oil cut off of more than 200 barrels of total fluid per day.
